To commemorate Bhuj Nutan Mandir Mahotsav 2010, Shree Swaminarayan Temple, Adelaide had organised “UTSAV 187” – to celebrate 187th Patotsav of Bhuj Shree Narnarayan Dev and Opening of the new temple. The auspicious occasion was held for 6 hours doing various activities in praise of Lord Swaminarayan. It was started with janmangal path, by reciting 108 names of Lord Swaminarayan seven times, followed by dandvat and dhun for an hour. By enchanting the dhun the haribhaktos performed the dandvats. The total number of danvats performed during the occasion was 2140.
Thereafter, Aarti was performed followed by Nand Santo’s kirtans in different swars and raag associated with different music. Some of the haribhaktos went on their feet on hearing the kirtans with exclusive music.
Then followed a video presentation describing why and how the Nutan Shree Swaminarayan Mandir is built. Along with this another video was also shown on how our sampraday is helping needy and poor people of Kutch by organising medical camps.
After viewing the great video the yuvak mandal started playing band along with dhun and also simultaneously pradikshna was performed for an hour. 7160 pradikshna were performed overall.
Last but not the least, raas utsav (thakathari) was performed which was the most enjoyable part among all the activities. All the haribhaktos enjoyed the occasion upto maximum by praising lord Swaminarayan ending with Mahaprasad.
